Happiest Moment: Dodger singing “Why Should I Worry?”

Why? Ok, I admit, maybe I should have used this for the “favorite song lyrics” category.  But I also feel like this is a very happy moment, as well.  I mean look at the dog.  He’s riding on top of a car, wrapped in sausages, and wearing RayBans.  Epitome of a happy moment.

“I’m streetwise, I can improvise.”

“So never be afraid, never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion; against injustice, lying and greed. If you, not just you in this room tonight, but in all the other thousands of rooms like this one today and tomorrow and next week will do this, not as a class or classes, but as individuals, men and women, you will change the earth.” - William Faulkner, to a class of graduating seniors at University High School, Mississippi.

Favorite Female Singing Voice: Julie Andrews as Mary Poppins

Why? Um… it’s Julie Andrews.  Do I really need to explain myself?

“As I expected.  Mary Poppins: Practically perfect in every way.”

I believe that children in this country need a more robust literary diet than they are getting. … It does not hurt them to read about good and evil, love and hate, life and death. Nor do I think they should read only about things that they understand. “…a man’s reach should exceed his grasp.” So should a child’s. For myself, I will never talk down to—or draw down to—children.

Favorite Male Singing Voice: Ray from The Princess and the Frog

Why? Sure, I could have gone with any other soothing prince voice, but it’s a helluva lot harder to sing — and sing well — with a Cajun accent.

“Go to bed! Y’all from Shreveport?”
